Disney Fantasy 7 Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise: Day 5

Day 5: St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

Wednesday: Sept 14, 2016
Evening Attire: Cruise Casual
Restaurant: Animators Palate
Stage Show: The Ventriloquism and Comedy of Lynn Trefzger

Today was another port day, but unlike the day before we didn't have any excursions planned. We decided to just make it a casual day. The ship was actually pulling into port during my run that morning, so I stopped to take a few pictures .

We got off the ship that morning and headed over to The Skyride to Paradise Point which was in walking distance of the ship. The skyride takes you up 700 ft. over the town of Charlotte Amalie and offers many lovely views of the port and surrounding areas.

At the top there were a couple of small gift shops and a restaurant and bar.

After the skyride we walked over to the Butterfly Garden, which is conveniently located right off the ship. It as a small garden, but they did have a good amount of butterflies.

After spending some quality time with the butterflies we decided to head back to the ship for some (free) lunch and Max wanted to head over to the kids club. The ship was nice and peaceful because most people were off the ship. Since Max was off at the kids club, my husband and I decided to go and check out the adult pool areas. It was the perfect relaxing afternoon hanging out on the deck of the ship, with a drink of the day (or 3...) and not a lot of people around.

That night we ate dinner at Animator's Palate. We missed out first rotation here because it fell on our Remy dinner night. Animator's Palate is one of the most popular restaurants especially for the kids. When you sit down they give you instructions to draw your own character that will later be displayed amongst everyone elses in an animated dinner show.

  1. Animator's Palate is so much fun! Also, St. Thomas/St. John looks like a gorgeous place. I feel so bad for them and hope they are able to rebuild soon.
